Mediation Practice Workplace and Community CPD

Overview of Training Session: Services

Overview

Conflict at work and in the community is sometimes inevitable – but how it's managed makes all the difference. Unresolved workplace conflicts can lead to decreased morale, lost productivity, and significant costs. Workplace conflict costs UK employers an estimated £28.5 billion per year, roughly £1,000 per employee, in lost output and legal fees. Mediation is a proven approach to turn these workplace disputes into opportunities for understanding and collaboration.

Our Mediation training course provides you with advanced skills and knowledge to become a confident workplace mediator and help organisations foster a more harmonious work environment.

By enrolling on our Mediation Training, you will:

  • Understand Workplace Conflict: Identify common sources of workplace conflict and their impact on individuals and organisations

  • Master the Mediation Process: Grasp the full mediation process from start to finish – including preparation/intake, conducting joint mediation sessions, managing private meetings, and guiding parties to agreement

  • Develop Core Mediator Skills: Build essential skills such as active listening, effective questioning, reframing statements, and empathy

  • Handle Difficult Situations with Confidence: Gain strategies to deal with challenging scenarios – high emotions, power imbalances, or reluctant participants

  • Apply UK Workplace Mediation Practices: Understand the context of workplace mediation in the UK, including how it aligns with HR procedures and employment law
